The portrait is covered with a flat glass shield, and surrounded by a decorative rim with individual cut steels rivetted through the base. The steels are gilded on the front. Gilt metal back with loop shank Backstamped: AP&Cie PARIS. Probably dates to around 1900, and a very pretty collectable.
